The last seven to produce was 87012 on the 0733 Northampton-Euston on Friday 10 June, the classes last day in Virgin service which is seen here at Leighton heading for Euston and oblivion. The loco should have worked in the evening aswell, but these was vetoed by Virgin “high up” who would not have a working after the very plastic “pompousex” Manchester working with 87010 during the day
